Dayne Davis thanks Vol Nation, says goodbye to Tennessee Football

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Tennessee offensive lineman Dayne Davis said goodbye to Tennessee football via social media on Sunday evening.

The former preferred walk-on appeared in 51 games at Tennessee, icluding 8 starts.

“Thank you for giving a local boy all the little kid in him wanted…a shot to play for the Big Orange on Fall Saturdays in Neyland Stadium,” the native of Bluff City said in his post

Davis also made an impact in the community, helping those affected by Hurricane Helene during the 2024 season through a GoFundMe.

A four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient, Davis was named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week following Tennessee’s win over Vanderbilt in 2023.
