Miles Kitselman returning to Tennessee football in 2025 with extra year as junior college transfer

Miles Kitselman is using his regained year of eligibility to come back to Tennessee football in 2025.

The senior tight end announced he is returning to the Vols on Monday.

“Got some unfinished business,” Kitselman posted on Instagram.

Kitselman is returning thanks to an added year of eligibility because of the NCAA granting blanket waivers to former junior college transfers following the Diego Pavia lawsuit. Kitselman spent the 2021 season at Hutchinson Community College. He transferred to Alabama, where he played two seasons before coming to Tennessee prior to the 2024 season.

The 6-foot-5, 256-pound Kitselman had 22 receptions for 301 yards and four touchdown, which tied for the third-most among tight ends in the SEC.

Pavia, the Vanderbilt quarterback and former junior college transfer, was granted a preliminary injunction that will allow him an extra year of eligibility. The NCAA Division I Board of Directors then approved an additional year of eligibility for junior college transfers who otherwise would have exhausted their eligibility following the 2024-25 season.

Ethan Davis is returning for a third season at Tennessee. He will a sophomore next season and has 15 receptions for 133 yards and two touchdowns in two seasons.

Four-star recruits DaSaahn Brame and Jack Van Dorselaer signed with UT in the 2025 class. Both are early enrollees who will participate in spring practice.
