In a heartfelt statement released today, officials from the Disneyland Marathon addressed the tragic passing of runner Caleb Graves during this year’s race. Graves, a seasoned marathoner, was known for his dedication and positive attitude.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Caleb Graves, a beloved member of our running community,” said race director Michael Hernandez. “His passion for the sport, his determination, and his uplifting spirit inspired countless others. Caleb’s commitment to running and the incredible achievements he accomplished in marathons across the country will never be forgotten.”

Graves, 31, had completed numerous marathons and had been a regular participant in the Disneyland Marathon, where he earned a reputation for both his athletic prowess and his volunteer work with local charity events. He was especially known for breaking his own personal bests and helping to raise awareness for mental health initiatives.

While race officials have confirmed that Graves collapsed mid-race and was immediately attended to by medical staff, the cause of death is still under investigation. It is believed that Graves’ passing was due to natural causes, although an autopsy report is pending.
