Here’s how the mock picks are looking ahead of the 2024 Combine.
Dan Parr, NFL.com
Pick: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Analysis: “The QB-needy Raiders take their shot, trusting that Tom Brady, Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly will put Sanders in position to succeed.”
Date: Feb. 13
Josh Edwards, CBS Sports
Pick: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
Analysis: “Las Vegas may have to add to the quarterback room later in the draft or through free agency, but forcing the situation is the worst thing that the franchise could do in this spot. Instead, the Raiders draft a tall wide receiver to which that new quarterback can throw.”
Date: Feb. 13
Joel Klatt, FOX Sports
Pick: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Analysis: “Pete Carroll had his best years in Seattle building around its defense. I think Johnson is the type of player that Carroll would love to have. His size reminds me of Richard Sherman and he can play zone. He’s a shutdown corner who has great ball skills, can play man coverage and is a great tackler in the run game.”
Date: Feb. 12
Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports
Pick: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado (via mock trade with Titans for No. 1 overall pick)
Analysis: “Let’s run back the idea of Tom Brady and Co. making a move to land Sanders at No. 1, just so they assure themselves they land him in this draft.”
