Las Vegas, NV – With the 2025 NFL Draft fast approaching, the Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly considering a bold move to trade ahead of the New York Jets at No. 5 in order to select Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, if he’s still on the board.
Raiders Targeting Their Franchise QB?
Sanders has been one of the most talked-about prospects in the draft, with his elite accuracy, poise under pressure, and high football IQ making him a coveted target for QB-needy teams. The Raiders, still searching for a long-term answer at quarterback, could be willing to package assets to move up and ensure they land the former Buffaloes star.
Adding to the intrigue, Sanders himself has embraced the hype, stating:
“You know you’re the best pick in the Draft since Tom Brady when there’s a bidding war.”
Jets vs. Raiders: A Draft-Day Battle?
The New York Jets, picking at No. 5, are also in the market for a quarterback, making them a direct competitor for Sanders. If Las Vegas wants to secure their guy, they’ll likely need to jump into the top four to prevent the Jets from landing him first.
With the Raiders boasting $100 million in cap space and a strong core of offensive weapons, adding Sanders could set them up for a new era under head coach Pete Carroll.
Will Las Vegas pull off a blockbuster trade to land Coach Prime’s son? Stay tuned as the draft drama unfolds!
