After missing three weeks with injury, Beau returns with a career best 15 tackles

Our high pressure forward registered his best tackles total since Round 13, 2024 👊

So glad Beau is back- we have definitely missed his pressure in the forward half- doesn’t stop running.. Definitely not a passenger- pushes hard forward and back, and doesn’t leave anything in the tank.. Given the struggles of the back line the last 2 weeks hoping Frampton is back in next week, and Howe and Houston aren’t far behind. Moore definitely struggled today- I think Moore is not feeling confident in Deans ability and is trying to do everything and in the end doing very little. Dean appears to not be able to keep up with the pace of the comp at this stage.. not sure if he is the future backline. Our entry in the F50 was silly- kept bombing it when Freo have a tall defence. Ultimately, our inaccuracy lost us the game today and last week.. Wondering if we need to stop resting the triple M brigade from here on out.. the 3 of them make it so hard to defend. Daicos had a great game and I’m almost certain he would have the 3 votes today, while Longy really drove through the packs. and Shooter just kept pushing himself all day. Hopefully McCrae can figure out the best team with the soldiers he has available. Go Pies, Side by Side! ps I know a lot of oppo supporters are discussing the umpiring from today so I’d be remiss not to mention it- very much felt like a luck of the draw with the whistle- the Sidebottom “blocking” free was horrendous, but so was the “advantage” call for Freo in the 1st qtr, they did not intend to play on, were trying to stop the ball but the ump called it horribly. Either way, Freo played well and made the most of their chances.
