Who’s a chance take home the Copeland Trophy?

Having finished on the podium in the Brownlow Medal for a third-straight season, Nick Daicos will be one of the favourites on Friday night as he vies for back-to-back Copelands.

Having averaged 30 disposals throughout another brilliant year in the midfield, the 22-year-old will no doubt have caught the eye of his coaches once again.

Having finished on the podium last season, the duo of Darcy Cameron and Josh Daicos will again be in contention after outstanding 2025 campaigns.

Cameron emerged as one of the premier rucks in the competition and could back up last year’s runner up effort with his maiden Copeland, while Daicos is aiming for a second Best & Fairest after taking out the top honour in 2023.

Elsewhere, veteran Steele Sidebottom will challenge the top of the leaderboard after a particularly strong start to 2025 that netted him multiple Brownlow votes and Best on Ground honours.

Sidebottom and fellow midfielders Ned Long and Scott Pendlebury are all likely to poll consistently throughout the night, while defender Isaac Quaynor and forward Jamie Elliott were the standouts at their respective ends of the ground.

How are the votes awarded?

The Senior Coach Craig McRae, together with senior assistant coach Hayden Skipworth, and assistant coaches, Matthew Boyd, Scott Selwood and Jordan Roughead, award the votes after each match, including all finals matches.

Each coach is asked to vote on every player. Each player can receive votes between 0-4 on their overall impact on the game. The maximum number of votes a player can receive per round is 20 votes.

In the event that two or more players finish with the same number of votes, this will result in a tie.
