4-Star Offensive Tackle Wilson Zierer Officially Signs with Auburn Tigers in 2026 Class
In a significant boost to Auburn’s offensive line for the future, four-star offensive tackle Wilson Zierer officially signed his National Letter of Intent with the Auburn Tigers on December 3, 2025, during the early signing period for the 2026 recruiting class. The 6-foot-6, 280-295 pound prospect from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Rabun Gap, Georgia, brings elite size, athleticism, and a family legacy to the Plains.

Zierer, ranked as a top-30 offensive tackle nationally by services like 247Sports (No. 31 OT, No. 315 overall) and Rivals (No. 26 OT), committed to Auburn in July 2025 under then-head coach Hugh Freeze. Despite a coaching change to Alex Golesh and some class upheaval—with several flips and de-commitments—Zierer remained solid, signing amid the afternoon wave of announcements that helped propel Auburn’s class ranking upward.
His recruitment was highly competitive, with powerhouse programs like Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, and others pursuing him aggressively. Zierer took official visits to several top schools but ultimately chose Auburn, citing his deep personal connection: “It just came down to me loving Auburn the most.” The family tie played a role—Zierer is the younger brother of former Auburn offensive tackle Kilian Zierer, who lettered for the Tigers from 2020-2022 and started at left tackle in 2022 before pursuing an NFL career (currently with the Atlanta Falcons).

Scouts rave about Zierer’s potential. At 6-6 with a slender but projectable frame, he has room to add mass (projected north of 300 pounds in college). He’s described as a “top-tier athlete” with exceptional bend, high hips, and little stiffness—rare traits for a lineman his size. A team captain at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, Zierer helped lead his squad to the 2024 NCISAA state championship. His blend of length, mobility, and upside makes him a cornerstone piece for Auburn’s offensive line rebuild.
Zierer’s signing was part of a busy National Signing Day for new head coach Alex Golesh, who inked around 15-18 players despite losing some high-profile commitments earlier in the week. The class, ranked in the mid-30s nationally by 247Sports, features Zierer as one of its blue-chip anchors on the O-line, joining prospects like Parker Pritchett.

For Auburn fans, Zierer’s arrival continues a legacy while addressing a critical need. The Tigers have prioritized trench play in recent cycles, and landing a four-star legacy over in-state rivals signals momentum. As Zierer enrolls in 2026, expectations are high for him to develop into a multi-year starter, protecting the quarterback and paving lanes in the SEC.
War Eagle, Wilson—welcome to the family!
