How many of Auburn football’s outgoing transfers remain unsigned?
The current transfer portal window is set to close on Friday, and several outgoing Auburn Tigers have yet to find new homes.
Auburn football had 36 players from the 2025 roster enter the transfer portal, with a bulk of them finding homes during the window that opened Jan. 2. Several notable players, such as Cam Coleman, Eric Singleton, Kayin Lee, Jay Crawford, and Amaris Williams, join several rival SEC programs, while players such as Dylan Senda, Amon Lane-Ganus, and Taye Seymore are heading to the Group of Five level, with hopes of making a name for themselves.
Entering Friday, seven former Auburn Tigers have yet to sign with a new program. Here is a look at which players remain unsigned as the transfer portal window winds down.
RB Durell Robinson
Robinson appeared in two games for the Tigers in 2025, rushing for 57 yards on three carries. Robinson’s season ended early due to a “freak injury” following Auburn’s win over Ball State in Week 2, and he officially entered the transfer portal on Jan. 4 in hopes of finding a fresh start.
OL Tyler Johnson
Johnson entered the transfer portal on Jan. 9, so, understandably, he has not found a new home yet. Johnson played in eight games over three seasons at Auburn and played 92 snaps at left tackle in 2024.
LB DJ Barber
Barber was a promising player who signed with Auburn during the 2025 cycle as the No. 36 player from Alabama. However, his journey to the field ended before it started, as his July arrest led to him not playing a snap in 2025. Barber aims to find a new home and get a fresh start in 2026.
OL Broderick Shull
Shull was the No. 6 player from Oklahoma in the 2025 recruiting cycle, but did not get on the field during his lone season with the Tigers. Shull received offers from Nebraska, Kansas State, Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Duke in high school, and could connect with one of those programs through the transfer portal.
DL James Ash
Ash was an All-SWAC honoree with Florida A&M before signing with Auburn during the spring transfer portal window. Ash did not make his way into a loaded defensive tackle rotation that included Bobby Jamison-Travis, Zykevious Walker, Malik Blocton, and Dallas Walker.
TE Hollis Davidson
Like Barber, Davidson was arrested before the 2025 season, which resulted in him not seeing the field this season. Davidson was a four-star tight end from the 2025 class and was the No. 12 tight end in the nation.
S Jacoby Mathews
Mathews joined the transfer portal on the eve of the closing. Mathews joined Auburn’s roster from Texas A&M and played in just one game for the Tigers, where he made one tackle in the loss to Vanderbilt
