Leeds United team news as Farke makes Piroe, Gnonto and Leeds United decisions to face Ipswich

Leeds United are looking for their first Championship win this afternoon at Portman RoadLeeds United sign Swansea City striker Joel Piroe - Leeds United

Joel Piroe will make his Leeds United debut this afternoon after being named in Daniel Farke’s starting line-up to take on Ipswich Town. The striker only completed his switch from Swansea City on Thursday night, but he’ll lead the line for the Whites at Portman Road as they go in search of their first league win of the new season.

The inclusion of the striker isn’t the only big call Farke has made this weekend either after welcoming both Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra back in to the starting line-up. The pair were exiled from the first-team squad earlier this month after refusing to play in order to try and force moves away from Elland Road.

Leeds have stood firm, though, and after smoothing things out with both men, Farke has named them in the starting line-up. They’ll play behind new signing Piroe and alongside Georginio Rutter in, what looks on paper, to be an extremely strong attacking four.

Crysencio Summerville has been passed fit to be involved this afternoon, but he’s named on the bench. Dan James hasn’t been risked after picking up a slight groin injury last time around, but Joe Gelhardt has shrugged off a shoulder injury to claim his spot on the bench.
