“Here We Go” – Journalist Confirms Leeds United’s Next Signing

Leeds United are set to sign Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, subject to a medical this afternoon after the two club’s agreed on a deal, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Finland international is expected to be the latest addition to Daniel Farke’s side, ahead of what’s predicted to be a very busy 48 hours for the Championship side.

Who is Glen Kamara?

The 27-year-old began his career with Arsenal, as well as having loan spells with Southend and Colchester. He moved to Scotland in 2017 with Dundee, before arriving at Ibrox in 2020.

Since joining Rangers, Kamara has made just under 200 appearances for the club, contributing to 20 goals as well as earning over 50 caps for the Finnish national team throughout his career so far.

An improved start

Leeds have had a tough start to the campaign, being held against Cardiff City and West Bromwich Albion, as well as a defeat against Birmingham City away from home.

However, Leeds bounced back with a 4-3 win against Ipswich T own on Saturday, with debutant Joel Piroe grabbing his first goal for Daniel Farke’s side. They will host Sheffield Wednesday this weekend, with the newly promoted side without a single point this season.

What’s been said?

According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United and Rangers have successfully agreed a deal to allow Kamara to move to Elland Road before Friday’s deadline.

The midfielder is set to undergo a medical with Leeds United today, ahead of completing a move to the Championship side.

Writer’s View

Kamara has been ever-present in the Rangers side since his arrival, helping the club to win the SPFL and the Scottish Cup during his stint with the club and is a solid signing for Leeds.

After losing several midfielders over the summer, as well as pulling out of a move for Lewis O’Brien, Daniel Farke has been desperate to land at least one midfielder before the window closes.
