We want your feedback on the Leeds United players after Daniel Farke’s side cruised to a comfortable away win against Millwall on Sunday.
Leeds United battled to a deserved win over Millwall, their second league victory of the season. In Sunday’s televised match, Joel Piroe’s brace and Georginio Rutter’s late goal were enough to give the visitors a 3-0 triumph.
Daniel Farke made one alteration to the starting eleven that had been held to a goalless draw at home by Sheffield Wednesday in their previous game. Following a period on the sidelines, Sam Byram returned to left-back, with Jamie Shackleton dropping to the bench.
After barely 15 minutes, Piroe polished off a great counter-attack by the visitors to give United the lead. Rutter’s first-time pass found the summer signing in space in the box, and he easily blasted his shot beyond Bartosz Biakowski.
Millwall stayed in the game until the 77th minute, when Piroe scored his and Leeds’ second goal of the day. After being found by Rutter’s cut-back, substitute Daniel James slipped, but the ball fell invitingly for Piroe to tap into an empty net.
Rutter rounded out the scoring with his second goal for the club, calmly beating Biakowski in a one-v-one after James led a counter-attack. The win moves Farke’s team into 10th place ahead of a demanding week that includes a midweek trip to Hull City followed by a home game against Watford.
