Talks ongoing: West Ham in race with elite to sign Brazilian sensation – repor

West Ham United in race with Manchester City, Real Madrid and more for Brazilian wonder Lorran

West Ham have joined Manchester City and Chelsea in the race for 17-year-old Brazilian wonder Lorran, although Manchester United and Brighton have already engaged in talks with his representatives, according to 90min.

The online football news outlet shared on 29 September that the Brazilian, who is represented by Jay-Z’s ROC Nation Sports agency, has been pursued by Manchester United for a number of months.

West Ham are alongside Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid in showing an interest in the talent, but are yet to open talks. He would not be able to move to Europe until next July, but that is not putting interested parties off.

West Ham are the outliers among interested clubs

It has to be considered that, with interest from legendary clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester United, and giants Manchester City and Chelsea also tracking the player, the Hammers stand out from the crowd as a less appealing proposition.

This does, however, come with its benefits. A greater chance at getting some first-team experience from an early age could prove tempting, while Brazil star Lucas Paqueta has shone at the London Stadium and could provide inspiration for the 17-year-old.

Lorran is still yet to make his professional debut for Flamengo and thus is an unproven talent, but the level of interest in his signature shows how highly regarded he is across the biggest European clubs.

Real Madrid in particular have a track record of signing young Brazilian talent, with the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo shining in the bright lights of the Bernabeu, with youngster Endrick set to join when he turns 18, and they will hope to add Lorran to that list.
