
Denver Women’s Tennis to Travel to Oklahoma for NCAA Regionals
DENVER – The University of Denver women’s tennis team will play No. 4-ranked Oklahoma in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championships, the NCAA announced on Monday.
Denver is the No. 4 seed in the Norman Region and will take on the tournament’s No. 6 overall seed in the Sooners on Friday, May 2, at 2 p.m. CT/1 p.m. MT.
Additional details about the Norman Region and first-round matches will be announced in the coming days.
DU earned an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament as the 2025 Summit League champion after winning its 11th consecutive league title. Denver posted a 4-0 sweep of Omaha in the Summit League final on April 19, extending the team’s streak of winning the title in every season since joining the Summit League in 2013-14.
This will be Denver’s 11th consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament and its 14th overall. Last season, DU played against No. 25-ranked Texas Tech in the NCAA first round and dropped a 1-4 decision. Denver has twice advanced to the NCAA second round, most recently in 2017 with a 4-2 win against USC in the first round.
