CLEVELAND — The Bears are trying to keep their season relevant as long as possible, and winning against the Browns in Cleveland on Sunday would help a lot.

At 5-8, the Bears still have a lot to play for beyond the fact that key figures in the organization have shaky job security. They’re chasing their first winning season since 2018 and would need to sweep their remaining games to get there, and if they did that, they’d be in the mix for a playoff spot.

The next man up mentality continues for the Cleveland Browns as they head into a Week 15 matchup with the Chicago Bears.

The team ruled out four players – three of whom are starters – as the week of practice wrapped in Berea, as center Ethan Pocic, safety Juan Thornhill, linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk and defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo all will not play.

Pocic and Thornhill didn’t practice all week for the Browns, while Kunaszyk showed up on the injury report Thursday after tweaking his calf. As for Okoronkwo, his season may in fact be over as he’s dealing with a pectoral injury sustained in the team’s win over the Jaguars. Head coach Kevin Stefanski noted on Friday that they still don’t have confirmation that the ailment is season ending, but reports suggest that will be the case.
