Search for missing former Texas Longhorns player ends with ‘tragic and devastating’ news

  1. Former Texas Longhorns running back Jaden Hullaby has reportedly been found dead.

No details have been given regarding the cause of death, but his family reported him missing on Sunday.

He had last been seen in Dallas on Friday.

His uncle tweeted asking for help in finding his nephew, according to a Longhorns Nation report.

“Y’all we need prayers our way,” he wrote. “Jaden has been missing since Friday evening. We can’t track any of his devices.

That’s not him at all!” he added. “He always answers his calls.”

Hullaby was a member of Texas’ 2020 recruiting class. He transferred to New Mexico last year where he was moved to tight end.

His brother, Texas Tech defensive back Landon Hullaby, tweeted out a heartbreaking post showing the two together as children.

“Forever living through you big brudda,” he wrote.“I love you so much and I got you and the family forever. I swear. Get your rest King.”

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian also issued a statement.

“It’s such devastating and tragic news to hear of Jaden’s passing,” he wrote. “He was a great person and someone we all enjoyed being around, coaching and spending time with. All of our thoughts are with his family, friends and teammates, and we want to send our deepest condolences to them in such a difficult time.”
