Where The Hurricanes Stand With Top Recruiting Targets After Under Armour Miami | Video

Several top Miami Hurricanes recruiting prospects competed at the Under Armour Miami camp on Sunday.
Mario Cristobal and his staff are intensively recruiting quality athletes throughout the Southeast. Brian Smith, who covers UA Miami, joined me on Locked On Canes to discuss a few top prospects.

Cortez Mills, a four-star Homestead wide receiver, was characterized by Brian as a top performer. Miami is obviously interested in Mills, but Smith believes his recruiting could take longer as national signing day approaches in December.
– Can Miami secure an official visit for 4-star Cedartown, GA cornerback Tae Harris? Harris ran an incredible 4.38 in the 40-yard sprint.

– Chaminade-Madonna cornerback Chris Ewald Jr., a four-star prospect, was another standout during camp. Miami is actively recruiting him. Smith believes the Hurricanes have a slight advantage here, but LSU and Auburn are also in the mix.

In addition to the UA Miami conversation, we discussed Miami’s large recruiting reach in Georgia. Jaylen “Hollywood” Bell, a 4-star Grayson (GA) HS cornerback, told me that he will be in Miami on Friday to see the Hurricanes’ spring practice. Miami has had recent recruiting success in the Peach State and hopes to continue it, despite stiff competition from UGA and other SEC powers.
