Washington Commanders have signed running back Jeremy McNichols, with full terms not disclosed.

McNichols, a seven-year NFL veteran, joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2017. He has played for San Francisco, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Tennessee, and San Francisco before joining Washington.

McNichols played in three games in 2023 and contributed to special teams with the 49ers, appearing in 30 games from 2020-21 for the Titans.

McNichols spent his initial three seasons with Tampa Bay, San Francisco, Indianapolis, and Jacksonville, primarily serving on the practice squad.

McNichols, a standout player at Boise State, recorded 250 receptions, 22 touchdowns, and 93 career-highs, making him the program’s all-time leader in receptions.

McNichols, a Long Beach native, attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School, where he was a three-star recruit.
