West Ham United is set to sign French footballer ahead of Manchester United in a £25m+ transfer….

West Ham United is set to sign AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana ahead of Manchester United and AC Milan this summer, according to Calciomercato.

World Cup finalist Fofana is set to leave Ligue 1 for over £25m, with West Ham keen to secure his signature. Monaco expects a €30m sale, with a higher monthly salary of €220,000, and a year-round gross revenue of €2.6m.

Milan faces significant competition from Premier League clubs, including Nottingham Forest last summer, West Ham, and Manchester United this year.

Fofana is considered to be a promising addition to West Ham United’s squad.

The Irons are known for their all-action midfielders, who can defend deep, explode from box-to-box, and pose a threat in the final third.

Kalvin Phillips, while fitting the West Ham midfielder mold, lacks the athleticism that West Ham midfielders are known for, unlike Fofana who does not possess this issue.

With exceptional energy, strength in duels and possession, bravery, and clever ball usage, he has extensive experience at the highest level.

West Ham could be smart by quickly bringing in a player of this calibre during the summer, as his exit seems inevitable.
