Bills general manager Brandon Beane attributed the trade of star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Texans to “timing,” stating the deal was finalized today.

The Bills traded a 2025 second-rounder to the Texans for Diggs, who is just two years away from signing a four-year, $96 million contract with Buffalo.

Beane, the Bills’ GM since 2017, clarified that the team’s departure from a key offensive weapon does not mean surrendering for the 2024 season.

Bills quarterback Josh Brown believes the team is trying to win and is not giving up. He has cut Poyer and White due to salary cap casualties and lost Davis in free agency. Brown also acknowledges there is more work to be done before Week 1.
