West Ham United has signed midfielder Patrick Kelly for a two-and-a-half-year contract until summer 2026. Kelly, a Northern Ireland U21 international, joined the club in 2022 and has featured in every U21 match. His goal is to break into the men’s senior squad, a goal shared by both the club and country.

Kelly, a 16-year-old from Portstewart, County Londonderry, has been working with coaches at U21s and U18s level for the past few years. He aims to break into the first team environment at West Ham and make his debut in league, cup, or European competitions. Kelly made his senior debut in September 2021.

Kelly made his U21s debut in 2022/23, starting in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy and Premier League 2, helping the young Hammers reach the round of 16.

Patrick Kelly, a key player for the development team, has signed a new contract with the Hammers. He has appeared in all ten Premier League 2 matches and scored his first goal at U21 level. Sporting Director Mark Noble is pleased with Kelly’s commitment to the club, stating that he embodies the Academy’s values of hard work, determination, and humility. Kelly’s new contract is a challenge for him to continue his progression.

West Ham United congratulates Patrick on signing a new contract, expressing their high regard for him and their delight at his continued progress with the Claret and Blue team.
