Michigan State’s offense could be significantly enhanced by incorporating Georgia transfer running back Andrew Paul.

Michigan State coach Jonathan Smith is utilizing the transfer portal to retool their roster and start a new era of Spartans football in East Lansing. Despite mixed results, Smith has used the recruiting trail to build defense and offense.

Andrew Paul, a talented running back, has joined the Spartans after a stint with the Georgia Bulldogs, a football program known for its ability to cultivate top talent.

Dallas native Paul, a three-star athlete, missed the 2022 season due to an ACL injury. Returning in 2023, he struggled at Georgia, rushing for 129 yards and one touchdown. Despite his struggles, Paul is ranked as the 647th-best overall player and 59th-best running back available in the transfer portal.

Georgia’s roster of running backs is highly regarded by other football programs, including Michigan State, and the Spartans should consider their successful careers in the NFL when recruiting.

Michigan State has a strong running back room, but there’s always talent. Follow Spartan Nation on Facebook and join the community group Go Green Go White.
