Sheffield United player grades as defeat at Newcastle confirms relegation.

Sheffield United suffered a 5-1 loss against Newcastle United, confirming their relegation from the Premier League. Despite scoring four goals in the second half, the Blades piled up chances.

Wes Foderingham made some saves but struggled with the five goals. Jayden Bogle struggled with Anthony Gordon’s pace and his tight calf. Mason Holgate had a shocking second half performance, gifting a free header to Bruno Guimaraes and a penalty. Anel Ahmedhodzic was brave on the ball, but his poor seven-minute spell led to the collapse of the back line. Austin Trusty made good decisions on the ball in the first half but reverted to type in the second half. Ben Osborn contributed to United’s front-foot football but struggled in the second half.

Oli Arblaster was the best player in the first half, making the Blades progress. Andre Brooks started well but took a big whack, hindering his movement. Gustavo Hamer provided an attacking spark, setting up Brereton-Diaz and Archer for chances. Ben Brereton-Diaz was a potential threat, but his chances were not as significant. Cameron Archer’s electric pace and movement made the Newcastle defence unmanageable, but he was fizzled out in the second half.
