Jamaal Williams Reveals His Thoughts On Alvin Kamara’s Contract Situation

The New Orleans Saints are currently in a contract dispute with Alvin Kamara.

Kamara, one of the best running backs in the NFL in recent seasons when healthy, is seeking a longer contract and is looking for more money.

At this point, the Saints haven’t been able to reach a deal with him, which could be partially due to the off-field issues and legal trouble he is still experiencing.

Despite the team not getting a deal done, it is evident that Kamara’s teammates want him back on the field for the 2024 season.

Jamaal Williams recently appeared on “The Insiders” on NFL Network, talking about what Kamara brings to this roster.

“Alvin is a tremendous teammate, awesome person, 100 percent, he stayed ten toes down on his business and what he believes in, and that’s just him. I’m behind him 100 percent,” Williams said.

Williams believes that Kamara is a great person who impacts this team every week.

With the Saints’ offensive struggles and quarterback inconsistencies in recent seasons, having someone like Kamara on the field could be vital to their offensive success.

They might not have a definitive franchise quarterback moving forward, but Kamara could help their current options succeed and help set up the passing game.

The Saints haven’t made the playoffs since 2020, when Drew Brees was their starting quarterback.

They are hoping to turn the tides this year, but without Kamara, it could be difficult for them to make the leap they are hoping for and to be competitive in the NFC South.
