Don Hutchison warns ‘world-class’ player he can’t join Tottenham Hotspur

Ange Postecoglou’s side might have ended the season with a damp squib, but there has been huge progression at the club.

Tottenham fans have every right to be excited by what is coming their way this summer, including the news that Timo Werner has returned to the club.

The German international signed for Spurs on a loan deal from RB Leipzig in January. And now the club announced on Tuesday evening that he has re-joined until the end of the 2024/25 campaign, with the option to make the deal permanent.

But that bit of news seems to have overshadowed another bit of news the club put out earlier on in the day.

Tottenham confirmed on Instagram that Brandon Austin has signed a new contract that will run until 2029.

The 25-year-old was all smiles as he put pen to paper, with his teammates equally as overjoyed for him.

The homegrown talent made several appearances on the bench for Spurs this season, but he is yet to don the senior colours, with Guglielmo Vicario the main guy.

Destiny Udogie and Brennan Johnson react to Brandon Austin’s deal

Udogie, who missed the end of the campaign because of injury, wrote: ‘Yes, brother’, whilst Brennan Johnson added ‘My guy’ in the comments section of Austin’s IG post.
