With the Celtics on cloud nine after breaking the tie with the Lakers, Los Angeles has to kick it into high gear this summer in order to right the ship and become a legitimate title contender in the Western Conference in what could be the final years of LeBron James’ career.

Assuming that James re-signs with the team, which seems like a no-brainer at this point after the team hired JJ Redick as its new head coach and drafted his son in the second round of the NBA Draft, general manager Rob Pelinka and company have some work to do to improve the roster in Los Angeles.

Along with Klay Thompson and Jonas Valanciunas being options in NBA free agency, the Lakers are actively looking for game-changing trades, with the prospect of bringing back Brook Lopez being something they are exploring, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports via Hoop Central.

After spending one season with the Lakers during their rebuilding process in the 2017-18 NBA season, Lopez ended up with the Milwaukee Bucks and won a title playing alongside superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Following six solid seasons in Milwaukee, Lopez could be on the move, and the Bucks might bite on the trade bait dangled by the Lakers, with Los Angeles wanting to bring in another talented big man to play with Anthony Davis in the frontcourt.
