Cincinnati Bengals Sign First Rounder Amarius Mims
Cincinnati — The Bengals have signed Amarius Mims to a four-year, $15.37 million contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The first-round pick is the last member of the 2024 NFL Draft class to sign. Mims will receive a $7.99 million signing bonus.
The agreement means Mims will be on the pitch at the start of training camp. Cincinnati selected him with the 18th choice in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Bengals’ Joe Burrow Cleared for Full Contact Amid Rehab from Surgery on Wrist Injury
Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor revealed that starting quarterback Joe Burrow has been cleared for full contact during practice.
The 2022 Pro Bowler was limited to 10 starts last year due to a ruptured ligament in his right wrist, which necessitated surgery.
As Burrow’s recovery continued into the offseason, the Bengals attempted to alleviate any concerns about how his preparations were being impacted.
In May, offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher told Geoff Hobson of the team’s official website that the veteran signal-caller was not on a “pitch count” but that the organization had a specific plan in place for his workload.
“We designed the whole thing to stay within the constraints of where the medical people think he should be and where he wants to be right now,” he told me. “No one is sitting there with a particular pitch counter. But we were smart in how we put it together.”
Burrow’s return to practice without constraints is undoubtedly significant for Cincinnati.
Jake Browning performed reasonably well when thrown into the starting lineup. He threw for 1,936 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, and his QBR of 60.1 was higher than Burrow’s (51.6).
Burrow’s importance to the Bengals’ Super Bowl hopes is clear to everyone who has seen how much his arrival changed the franchise’s trajectory. With him at the center, Cincinnati remains a threat.
