At the start of training camp, the Detroit Lions place four players on the non-football injury list.
Wednesday marked the start of what the Detroit Lions hope would be a lengthy 2024 NFL season. The squad, which has Super Bowl hopes, began training camp after veterans returned for conditioning testing on Tuesday.

Key Detroit Lions players on the active/non-football injury list
The Lions added cornerbacks Carlton Davis III and Amik Robertson, as well as wide outs Donovan Peoples-Jones and Tre’Quan Smith, to the Active/Non-Football Injury list on Wednesday.

Why It Matters
This development allows rookies Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw to have more experience at cornerback. Arnold and Rakestraw are both new to the league.

Peoples-Jones and Smith will start behind their colleagues in the quest for the third wide receiver berth. Other possibilities for this post include Kalif Raymond, Antoine Green, and Daurice Fountain. Raymond looked to have the lead following a great spring performance.

The Detroit Lions will closely monitor the health and performance of these key players throughout training camp, with the goal of building a strong and competitive roster for the upcoming season.
