Georgia football is aggressively targeting a new 4-star OT decommit
4-star offensive tackle Chastan Brown
Chastan Brown is a four-star offensive tackle from Warner Robins, GA. According to 247Sports, he is a four-star prospect and the No. 226 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 21 offensive tackle in the 2025 class and the No. 33 player from the state of Georgia.
Brown originally committed to UCF back in July, and his recruitment went dead silent after that. But on Nov. 30, he shockingly decommitted from UCF and opened his recruitment up just days before the early signing period begins.
And this is now where Smart and Georgia come into play as they immediately hit the recruiting trail to go after Brown. In the post above shared by Brown, you can see Smart visiting him seemingly at his high school. So this is a great sign that Georgia is serious about getting Brown in their class, but it remains to be seen if Brown is just as interested as well.
During the summer, Brown took official visits to Louisville, NC State and Pittsburgh, so these are three schools to keep an eye on. But if Georgia is going up against these three schools, one would think they have a great chance to win this recruitment considering Brown is an in-state recruit.
It’s likely that Georgia will find out soon if they will win this recruitment or not, and this would be one of the biggest wins to close out the recruiting cycle considering how important of a position offensive tackle is.
