Daniel Farke provides an injury report on Dan James before of Leeds United’s match at Millwall.
Daniel Farke has revealed that Dan James has returned to training for Leeds United this week in order to improve his fitness ahead of Saturday’s (16 September) trip to Millwall.

Due to an adductor injury, the speedy winger has not played for the Whites since the 1-1 draw with West Brom on August 18.

While Patrick Bamford and Junior Firpo are still out, and Djed Spence is a big concern for the trip to the Den, James was back in training this week with Liam Cooper and Sam Byram.

Farke told the media, as quoted by LeedsLive,: “Daniel James back the whole week.”

A much-needed boost

Dan James spent last season on loan at Fulham, and there was a moment when it was not even certain that he would stay a part of the Elland Road long-term vision.

However, at this level, James can be a great benefit to Leeds and Daniel Farke, with his lightning pace a genuine weapon to terrorize Championship defenders this season.

He would have been a great option to have in the goalless draw against Sheffield Wednesday prior to the international break, where Leeds huffed and puffed but struggled to break down the door against their Yorkshire rivals.

For Farke, he will want as many of his attacking players to be fit and firing as possible in the coming weeks as they look to kick on now the first international break is out of the way.

Even if James could only make the bench against Millwall, it would be great to see him back in the squad.
