  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s name has circulated in Italy as a target for AS Roma
  • Serie A side are in the market for a striker after losing Tammy Abraham to injury
  • Everton have moved quickly to dismiss the reports as inaccurate for star man

Everton have dismissed reports linking Roma with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and have no desire to sell at this stage.

A report from Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport had earlier claimed that Roma are seriously interested in presenting an official offer for the 26-year-old centre-forward, who has had difficulties in the last two seasons.

Roma boss Jose Mourinho has shown a habit of targeting Premier League players as he continues to try and build a squad capable of winning Serie A.

Rui Patricio, Chris Smalling, Nemanja Matic, Tammy Abraham, Diego Llorente and Rasmus Kristensen have all left England for Rome in recent seasons.

Mourinho is in the market for a striker in a bid to allow Abraham to ease back to full fitness after his knee injury and also offer Paulo Dybala a strong partner similar to Mario Mandzukic at Juventus

Everton have rejected the links from Italy that Roma are pursuing Dominic Calvert-Lewin
