BREAKING: Orlando Pirates next transfer ‘almost a done deal’

The Orlando Pirates are thought to be hot on the tails of one of their long-term targets, who was just released.
Pirates signed two players in the January transfer window, Thabiso Lebitso and Talent Mbatha, and could add another.

This follows the announcement that long-term Shaune Mogaila is now available for a free transfer. The fast winger recently parted ways with his former club Royal AM. According to reports, the separation occurred because the two parties were unable to reach an agreement on improved terms for a new partnership. Pirates are said to be waiting on the wings, as the club wanted the player before he signed with the Durbanites. According to sources communicating with Soccer-Laduma, The Buccaneers are close to finalizing the deal for next season.
“Now that he is freed, the Pirates have a golden opportunity to sign him, but it appears they will wait until the end of the season. Their explanation is that they signed players in January and do not want to overwhelm the team with only a few months left in the season. However, they appear to be in talks with the player and his representation about the July transfer window, despite the fact that he is currently a free agent. “But they want to wait until the end of the season,” stated one source.
“The reason they want to wait until the conclusion of the season is to clear some space. This is accomplished by either releasing other players or loaning them out to bring in new players. Shaune (Mogaila) is one of the players slated to make a move at the end of the season. It’s almost done, but you know there are some loose ends that need to be wrapped. Then everything falls into place, but things will happen in July,” according to the insider.
With so many possibilities available, it’s unclear whether Pirates will choose Mogaila. It could make more sense to wait until the conclusion of the season to sell certain players before signing him.
