Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday (29 February), the Toffees manager disclosed that Amadou Onana has a groin issue that is improving, while Idrissa Gueye’s status is similar, with the midfield duo to be checked ahead of the meeting against the Hammers at Goodison Park.
He also stated that Andre Gomes has resumed grass training, although Arnaut Danjuma and Dele Alli would not be considered despite the former’s successful recovery from an ankle injury.
When asked about Gueye’s predicament, Dyche said: “He’s still settling down, and Amadou has a groin issue, similar to Gueye’s, that is just settling down. We will make a more definitive decision on them tomorrow.
“Arnaut is doing well with his ankle, but it is obviously a long-term issue, but he is doing exceptionally well. I just chatted with him before I walked in, and he is in a good position and things are going great.
