Dedicated Pirates star takes criticism as part of football

Gumede is inline to make his debut for Spurs this weekend when they host TS Galaxy on Sunday.

Linda Mntambo, a former Orlando Pirates star, is expected to be rewarded with a contract extension at Sekhukhune United.
This season, the midfielder has made only two appearances for United. This was owing to repeated injury issues.
Despite his injury troubles, Mntambo is regarded as a valuable part of the team both on and off the field!
According to recent sources, Sekhukhune United regards Mntambo as a “ambassador”! He will now be compensated with a contract extension.

“The club is pleased with him and how he has recovered,” an insider informed SoccerLaduma about the former Orlando Pirates player.
“You know, he’s the club captain, and they want to keep him as much as they can. That’s why they’re limiting it to two years for the time being, taking into account his age. He is 34 now, and in 2027, he will be 36. So it isn’t a bad deal at all.
“He promotes the team very effectively. He’s also a player who can help the squad market and promote itself off the field.

“He has recovered from the injury. He can now play, but even when he wasn’t, he was the club’s public face. That’s also why they want to keep him for another two years,” a source said of the former Orlando Pirates player.
