White, who was benched near the conclusion of last season due to a chronic foot issue, was taken fifth overall in the 2019 NFL draft by the Bucs from Louisiana State University.
The Birds needed a linebacker this offseason after losing Nicholas Morrow, Zach Cunningham, and Shaq Leonard in free agency.
White will join Nakobe Dean, a former University of Georgia product, in the Eagles’ linebacker room.
The Eagles and Jake Elliott agreed on a four-year contract extension Wednesday that would keep the kicker in Philadelphia until 2028.
Elliott is coming off a record-breaking season for the Eagles. In 2023, the 29-year-old converted 30 of 32 field goals, setting a single-season record for field goal percentage (93.8%) and 50-plus-yard field goals (7). He finished the 2023 season, including the NFL playoffs, by kicking 15 consecutive field goals.
Gardner-Johnson, 26, was sidelined for most of the 2023 season with the Lions after tearing a pectoral muscle in Week 2. He appeared in three regular-season games and recorded 16 tackles, one interception, and three pass deflections.
