Tom Brady, who announced last year he would not be retiring, has stated on a podcast that he is “not opposed” to returning to the NFL. He expressed uncertainty about whether a team in need would accept him as an owner, but he remains in good shape and capable of throwing the ball.

Vic Blends mentioned the San Francisco 49ers needing a quarterback in the playoffs, while Brady mentioned the New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders. Mark Davis and Brady agreed for Brady to join the Raiders’ ownership group.

Brady, a Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, sought to purchase a stake in the Oakland Raiders after attending a Las Vegas Aces game. He was impressed by the growth of women’s basketball and the excitement of the crowd in Las Vegas. Davis, who owns the Aces, contacted Brady’s representatives and they agreed to partner.

Brady acquired a stake in the Aces in March 2023 and is now reportedly aiming to buy 10% of the Raiders, valued at $6.2 billion by Forbes. Raiders owner Tom Davis remains optimistic about the transaction, stating it will be the third player in NFL history to become an owner.

Brady retired after 23 years, winning seven Super Bowls. He returned to Buccaneers in 2022 and signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to join Fox as a broadcaster.
