2024 NFL Draft Tracker: Which Georgia Bulldogs are staying put, which are going pro

An up-to-the-minute tracker showing which Bulldogs are staying in school and which are turning their attention to April’s draft.

The Georgia Bulldogs have had an abundance of NFL talent throughout Kirby Smart’s time in Athens. The 2023 Bulldogs had numerous players set to play on Sundays one day, and the end of the season on Dec. 30 opened the door for players to ultimately decide what their next steps will be.

New Year’s Eve marked the start of what will be a busy few days of draft decisions for the Dawgs. Georgia has a number of players who seem destined to declare for the draft, a group that is led by likely top-10 pick tight end Brock Bowers. There are other Bulldogs who appear to be fringe NFL players, several of whom could elect to come back to Georgia for another season.

Georgia has had a number of players leave for the transfer portal, but in theory a significant number of players could return for 2024. Defensive end Tramel Walthour is the only player from the 2023 team who is out of eligibility, which is the case thanks to the NCAA granting those who played college football in 2020 an additional year to play.

Georgia is hoping to steal the show at the draft once again when things get underway in Detroit on April 25.

Georgia is coming off a 2023 draft in which 10 Bulldogs were drafted, including three players — defensive tackle Jalen Carter, offensive tackle Broderick Jones, and linebacker Nolan Smith — going in the first round. That followed a 2022 draft in which 15 Bulldogs were selected, which was a modern draft record. The 2022 draft saw five Georgia defenders taken in the first round: defensive tackle Travon Walker, defensive tackle Jordan Davis, inside linebacker Quay Walker, defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, and safety Lewis Cine.

The early deadline for underclassmen to declare is Jan. 5. The withdrawal date is nearly a month later on Feb. 2.
