A former Georgia football player has died suddenly at the age of 34.

Georgia football family mourns unexpected death of former Bulldogs linebacker Akeem Hebron, confirmed by friends and the football program.

Georgia Football player Hebron passed away in a tragic accident. Hebron played 16 games for Georgia from 2008 to 2010, recording 10 stops and seven assists. Georgia went 24-15, won two bowl games, and finished at No. 13 in the AP poll. His family and loved ones are mourning his loss.

Former Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt praised Hebron’s personal turnaround at Georgia University, stating that he has grown into a good man and is proud of his accomplishments, highlighting the importance of college.
