Chris Simon, a 52-year-old NHL player who played 15 seasons and won the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche, has passed away.

Chris Simon, a 15-year NHL veteran, has passed away at the age of 52. He played for various teams, including the Colorado Avalanche, Washington Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, Calgary Flames, New York Islanders, and Minnesota Wild. Simon scored 144 goals and 161 assists in 782 games.

Simon, a former KHL enforcer, played five years before his death in 2013. He was suspended eight times, including 30 games for stomping on Ruutu’s leg and 25 for cross-checking Hollweg.
