Scheffler became the first player to win a PGA Tour event the week after claiming the Green Jacket, following Bernhard Langer’s 1985 victory.

Masters champion Scottie Scheffler celebrated his mental strength after a rain-delayed victory at the RBC Heritage, securing four wins in five starts. He finished 19 under par, three shots ahead of American Sahith Theegala.

Scheffler wins PGA Tour event, first since 1985, and fourth in five starts since Tiger Woods in 2007-08.

Scheffler has won seven of his last seven PGA Tour tournaments, with at least eight of the world’s top 10 in the field. He is the third player in 30 years to win or finish runner-up in five consecutive starts on the PGA Tour. Scheffler celebrated his win by going home for a couple of days.
