The Toronto Blue Jays are defeated 3-2 by the Baltimore Orioles thanks to a two-run home run by Adley Rutschman in the ninth inning.
Wednesday’s 3-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays, secured by Adley Rutschman’s two-run home run in the ninth inning, kept the Orioles from getting swept once more.
The rain postponed Tuesday’s game between the Orioles and Blue Jays, resulting in a split of the two-game series. Tied for the third-longest run in MLB history, Baltimore has now gone 105 straight regular-season series with at least two games remaining without being swept.
The last time the Orioles were swept in the regular season was May 13–15, 2022, against Detroit, despite Texas sweeping them in the AL Division Series last year.
