Another star Cincinnati Bengals player is reportedly looking to leave the team.

Trey Hendrickson, a three-time Pro Bowl defensive end, has requested that the Bengals move him, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday.

Hendrickson is under contract for another two years, with a base salary of $14.8 million in 2024 and $15.8 million in 2025, but neither year includes any guaranteed money. According to Schefter’s article, Hendrickson is “looking for more long-term security than Cincinnati has been willing to offer.”

Despite Hendrickson’s trade request, the Bengals have informed him that he will not be moved, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Hendrickson’s alleged trade request comes one month after standout wideout Tee Higgins reportedly made the same desire for a long-term contract. On Wednesday, Schefter reported that there have been no contract talks between Higgins, who was franchise-tagged in February, and the Bengals in over a year.

Hendrickson is coming off a breakout year in which he recorded 17.5 sacks, the second-most in the NFL, as well as 16 tackles for loss and 25 quarterback hits.

In his three seasons with Cincinnati, the former first-round choice has 39.5 sacks, 34 tackles for loss, and 76 quarterback hits in 48 games. During that time, he was also selected to three Pro Bowls.
