Newcastle United have agreed two deals worth more than £42m this week – sources

Newcastle United will earn over £42million per season from their Adidas deal and shirt sale commission, sources have told Football Insider.

The Tyneside club have struck a multi-year kit manufacturer deal with the German sportswear company starting in the 2024-25 season.

Newcastle launched their new home kit and training kit under Adidas on Friday morning (7 June) as previously reported by Football Insider.

The Adidas deal is worth £30million per season to the club – a huge upgrade on their previous £5million deal with Castore.

Alongside their Adidas partnership, Newcastle also announced a multi-year deal with UK-based retailer JD Sports on Tuesday (4 June) as their official sports retail partner.

Newcastle United to earn £42m each season as Adidas kit launched

Sources have told Football Insider that Newcastle will earn around £12million in commission from shirt sales under Adidas to add to the base fee.

While the new kits are expected to be popular among the fanbase, Newcastle are only set to pocket a small portion of commission – around six to eight percent – from each sale.

Newcastle are set to experience a spike in both commercial and retail revenue income as a result of their Adidas kit launch with the £30million deal kicking into action for the club’s 2023-24 accounts.

The Magpies have already increased their off-pitch income significantly since their takeover in 2021 with commercial revenue climbing from £26.5million in 2021-22 to £43.9million in 2022-23.
