Ryan Kreidler will get another start at shortstop on Friday night for the Detroit Tigers.

The Tigers (33-35) and Houston Astros (31-38) open a three-game series at 8:10 p.m. Eastern time at Minute Maid Park.

Catcher Carson Kelly; infielders Andy Ibanez and Zach McKinstry; and outfielder Akil Baddoo are available off the bench. The full lineup is below.

Skubal is emerging as the frontrunner in the American League Cy Young race. The Tigers are 10-3 when he’s on the mound.

Brown, a Detroit-area native who went to Lakeview High (St. Clair Shores) and Wayne State University, has been getting back on track after a tough start to the season.

He’s thrown four consecutive Quality Starts (six or more innings, three or fewer earned runs), and his ERA is skewed by an April start in which he allowed nine earned runs and retired only two batters.

The Astros’ lineup is below.
