Deion Sanders’ blunt message to Raiders after Antonio Pierce hire

Antonio Pierce has earned the approval of the Las Vegas Raiders front office, but has he got the nod from Deion Sanders, the coach of the Colorado Buffaloes?

Pierce stepped into the Allegiant Stadium initially as an interim coach and managed to secure the Raiders a 5-4 record despite the organization struggling to find form from Adrian O’Connell and Jimmy Garoppolo throughout the campaign.

Sanders knows his way around an NFL field as he won the Super Bowl twice (1994, 1995), backs the decision to keep the 45-year-old on for next season.

“God Bless @Raiders HeadCoach Antonio Pierce!!!!,” Sanders posted to X.com, formerly Twitter. “Wow God is good.

“All he needed was opportunity. Thank u to all the @Raiders players, fans and Faithful for supporting my Brother.

Who is Antonio Pierce?

Pierce is a former linebacker who had a successful career, notably with the New York Giants. He played college football at the University of Arizona and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2001.

From there on, Pierce became a crucial part of the Giants’ defense, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2006 and a season later he helped guide the franchise to the 2007 Super Bowl championship, getting his hands on the Lombardi Trophy.

Winning the AFC West, the division the Raiders are in, would never be an easy thing to accomplish due to the presence of the Kansas City Chiefs but Pierce‘s coaching gave them half a shot in the latter stages.

In the end, Patrick Mahomes‘ side won the division by three wins but the Raiders finished second with an 8-9 record after sitting 3-5 when Pierce took the reins, here’s his record in charge.
