Sha’Carri Richardson reveals next destination as she plots a strong comeback after Paris Olympics
Sha’Carri Richardson will seek to bounce back into the spotlight at the upcoming Zurich Diamond League meeting on September 5, 2024.
Fresh from clinching her first Olympic gold medal in the women’s 4x100m relay and a silver in the 100m at the Paris Olympics, the American sprinter is set to reignite rivalries and set the track ablaze at the Letzigrund Stadium.
In what is expected to be one of the most electrifying matchups of the year, Richardson is slated to compete against a cadre of top-tier athletes, including Paris Olympics 100m gold medalist Julien Alfred from Saint Lucia.
The lineup also boasts British star Dina Asher-Smith and Switzerland’s own Mujinga Kambundji both formidable contenders who promise to make the women’s 100m a race to remember.

In a past interview with Refinery 29, Richardson described the pivotal moment during the Olympic relay.
“I don’t hear anybody else but Gabby. If it’s not her voice, I can’t hear it. Everything else is a blur. Gabby’s voice automatically sends me into a place of determination and it sends me into a place of I know what time it is. I know she did her part. Now she is trusting me. Now she is believing in me. Now she is expecting me,” she expressed with fervor.
