Injury Expert delivers retirement claim on Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas
Dr. Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has joined us as an exclusive columnist. He’ll be sharing his thoughts on the Leeds United injury situation every week…
According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, it is still difficult to rule out Leeds United player Stuart Dallas returning to the game after his injury.
The injury expert claims that even though he has been out of commission for a couple of years, which is a lengthy time, it is premature to conclude that he will retire.
The 32-year-old last appeared for Leeds against Manchester City in 2022, and he did not participate for the full 22/23 season.
Brar, a Physical Therapist and Sports Scientist, said exclusively to MOT Leeds News about Dallas:
“Dallas suffered a ‘femoral’ fracture, which is the thigh bone and the body’s largest weight-bearing bone.”
“I believe he’s had a number of setbacks since his return.”
“The injury sounded quite serious when it happened and is quite rare in football, so an extended timeline wasn’t surprising, but now that it’s going on two years, it’s difficult to rule anyone out of returning, but that’s a long time to be away from the game – you’re losing fitness, confidence, and rhythm as well.”
Leeds have stated that they will not rush Dallas back into action following a setback that has kept him out for 16 months.
As previously stated, he experienced multiple setbacks while recovering from a femoral fracture.
He does, however, continue to work behind the scenes at Thorp Arch, assisting youth and first-team players in a variety of ways.
