Leeds United forward Dan James is unlikely to start against Millwall, according to an injury expert.
Dr. Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has joined us as an exclusive columnist. He’ll be sharing his thoughts on the Leeds United injury situation every week…
According to Dr Rajpal Brar, Daniel James may not start for Leeds United when they travel the Den to face Millwall this weekend.
The injury expert believes that the Whites will approach the Welshman’s return from an adductor problem with caution.
He’s been out for a few weeks, so hurrying him back into play may not be in his best interests.
Brar, a Physical Therapy specialist and Sports Scientist, told MOT Leeds News exclusively about James:
“Based on Farke’s comments prior to the international break, it appears that they are seeing some gradual improvement but are taking it slowly due to the nature of the injury.”
“He’s been training all week, so he’s back in action, but they might not risk him starting, so if he plays, it’ll be off the bench.”
James spent last season on loan at Fulham, where he had an OK season but nothing spectacular, and he had no Premier League interest this summer.
He began the season as Daniel Farke’s first choice, but will now have to battle his way back into the starting lineup.
Leeds continue to have plenty of options in the final third, and it remains to be seen what system the German manager employs in this one.
Patrick Bamford, Junior Firpo, and Liam Cooper have all been ruled out.
