Archie Gray, a midfielder for Leeds United, is a target for Crystal Palace.
According to Alan Nixon, who claimed on his Patreon over the weekend that Palace are long-time supporters of Gray, and his arrival at Leeds has put them on “red alert.”
Gray is reported to be Palace’s ‘live alternative’ to Blackburn Rovers prodigy Adam Wharton, as the Premier League club plans a midfield rebuild that will include the purchase of elite young prospects.

As per Nixon, Leeds may be forced to cash in on Gray if they fail to win promotion back to the Premier League this season, with parachute payments cut from 55% to 45% in the second season after relegation.
Palace chasing Leeds midfielder Gray
Gray – who has been described as ‘sensational’ by Neil Redfearn – signed his first professional deal at Leeds back in March earlier this year but due to his age, was not able to commit to a long term contract.
That means he has less than two years remaining on his current deal, which will undoubtedly mean clubs at the top level are keeping tabs on him.

That means he has less than two years remaining on his current deal, which will undoubtedly mean clubs at the top level are keeping tabs on him.
However, as soon as Gray turns 18 in March, you would imagine Leeds will have a long-term contract lined up to protect his future at the club, as well as his value.
Leeds are Gray’s boyhood club and if he was to get promoted with the Whites, it will hand them a real chance of keeping him for several years to come.
However, as has been seen so many times before, the longer a club lingers in the Championship, the more likely your top young talents are picked off.
