According to a new rating, Leeds United might face Crysencio Summerville in January.
Leeds United lost some key players during the summer transfer window, but they also recruited and retained some big names.
Crysencio Summerville, for example, was constantly connected with a summer move away from Elland Road but ultimately stayed put.
Summerville has certainly done no harm to his reputation in the first eight Championship games of the season, of which he has started half due to some lingering injury difficulties.
Indeed, according to The Second Tier on Twitter, WhoScored ranks Summerville as the third-best winger in the Championship so far this season, trailing only Morgan Whittaker of Plymouth Argyle and Jack Clarke of Sunderland.
Summerville has received a 7.54 out of 10 rating for his performances in the 2023-24 season, in which he has contributed a goal and an assist.
While his numbers aren’t particularly eye-catching, he has been a threat to opposing teams in nearly every game this season.
For example, against Watford last weekend, he led the team in shots (five), shots on target (three), and crosses (eight) [WhoScored].
Daniel James, another Leeds winger, made the top seven on the list, so Daniel Farke is clearly well stocked in the wide positions, especially with Willy Gnonto out for the next month or two.
However, it is possible that Leeds will face other competition for Summerville in the coming months.
But, as long as the Whites are still in the running for promotion in January, there’s no reason why they can’t keep the 21-year-old on their books for a bit longer.
